Having a good time.

Adventuring and hiking can be the most fun, challenging ( both physically and mentally) and rewarding experience. I can't say for certain but i think a lot of people get into this kind of hobby as some sort of new beginning for themselves, i know i definitely did.

Dont get me wrong i've always loved nature and being outside and i've never been the girl to sit still very well so it kind of makes sense that this is the hobby for me.

I'm actually surprised i didnt find it earlier.

There were moments in my life as a kid looking back where i'd go exploring around an aunts large bushland property, or jump off our boat in the middle of the lake to push us off sand banks the tides had created so i guess the signs were always there, i was just to young to notice.

Now i find The adventures themselves can become quite addictive.

When my hiking began as an adult it was all abut finding who i was again.

I knew i wanted to be more active since we had just spent months trapped at home with covid, i knew i wanted to experience different things and i knew that i wanted to have fun.

so insert cheap walking! aka adventures.

(The fact that a times its not cheap at all we will discuss another time lol)

once you've done a little bit of snooping around your own area new hidden gems can be harder and harder to come across and thats when you've really got to go searching for them.

Everyone looks for things differently, me? i'll see places on instagram pages, find spots using google maps or i might see a spot on T.V and i get this feeling that i HAVE to go find it.

being the typle of person who doesnt mind spending time alone I've turned what a lot of people would see as quite a boring and lonely way to spend a day into the highlight of my week.

Its something i enjoy to the point that i wish it was possible to do it every day.

I'll see the spot and imediately start researching where it is, if i can get there, will it cost me money on accomodation?, what are the tides and weather like that day?

I know they are all the basics to look up so In hind sight there's a lot more planning i could do but im just a baby adventurer who is still learning and i do like to keep some form of spontinaity in my travels.

When the day rolls around to go find my gem its exciting.

To make it a bit more so, there are extra little things you can do like;

  • only play your absolute fav bangers in the car on the way to your destination.

  • Pack all your favourite foods, nothing beats a good snack!

  • and just vibe! capture every moment on camera that you want to. who cares if others think you take to many pics or " you should just live in the moment"

damn, this is your moment and you are living it so get pictures of whatever the hell pleases you because its all about having a good time.

hiking is not for everyone and i believe that for you to be having a good time you really need to fall in love with it, you have to give it a piece of yourself.

And you need to be open to what it gives you in return.

I gave Adventures the last piece of myself i had left and it gave me back the bits of myself i had lost.

maybe you'll find something you've been looking for too? or you culd just find some really bloody aesome secret spots. either way i'd recon thats a win.
