Getting There:
The Bush Track Adventure
Start your adventure by parking at the Big Rocky car park (the main access point for Big Rocky Beach).
The bush track from Big Rocky car park is the quickest way to reach Little Rocky Rock Pool and gives you a taste of the coastal bushland along the way.
Here’s how to find it:
1. Park at Big Rocky Car Park
• Coordinates: -32.7315, 152.1492
• This is the main access point for Big Rocky Beach and the closest starting point to the pool.

2. Start the Bush Trail
• From the car park, you’ll clearly see the bush trail that heads down toward the water.
• Almost immediately, the trail splits, take the left path heading towards Mount Tomaree.

3. Follow the Path Through Coastal Bush
• The track is easy to follow but can be slightly overgrown at times. Even then, it’s well-marked and straightforward.
• You’ll cross a small recycled man-made bridge along the way.
4. Second Trail Split
• Continue for about 5 minutes and you’ll reach another split.
• Turn right here, taking the less-traveled path toward the ocean.
5. Rocky Outcrop & Cove
• This path will open up onto a rocky outcrop. Turn left and head toward a small cove covered in boulders.
• If you’ve timed your adventure for low tide, hopping across the rocks is easy and safe.
6. Finding the Hidden Pool
• About halfway along the cove, you’ll reach a large rock outcrop, this is where Little Rocky Rock Pool is tucked away.
• Crystal clear and deep enough for a swim, it’s a completely private little oasis.
Tip: This pool only exists at low tide, so check tide times before heading out to make sure you don’t miss it.
